There are several methods to test the integrity of deep foundations. The common thing for all of them is that they assume the pile/deep foundation head/top is accessible. They believe the test will be performed before the superstructure is built to stand on these deep foundations.
So what if you want to reuse an old pile and need to verify it while the superstructure is there?
